For the fifth annual A Night to Remember fundraiser, seven Aurora breweries each brewed their own unique version of a Belgian Strong Ale. So far I’ve only tried the Copper Kettle and Two22 versions but the tastiness of those makes me want to track down the other five. Two22s is darker-colored and more robustly-flavored with hints of raisin, while Copper Kettle’s looks more golden and tips a little toward the malty/yeasty side. Both of them are great Belgians that offer an interesting comparison in how two breweries execute the same concept. Other participating breweries that I’m hoping to visit before the kegs run dry are Dry Dock, Ursula, Launch Pad, and several others. Definitely a worthwhile scavenger hunt for those of us who enjoy a good Belgian!
