Weekend Beer Update

This weekend is full of anniversary parties and lots of patio-related events! However the weather forecast does not look too favorable for Saturday outdoor events so be sure to plan strategically, lest you end up eating your crawfish or drinking your beer in the rain.

Friday 18 – Sunday 20: It’s hard to believe that it’s been EIGHT YEARS since Strange Craft opened! It’s one of my personal favorites and they’ll be celebrating all weekend long starting with Dr. Strangelove flights on Friday, a backyard party on Saturday, and a recovery brunch (BYO food) on Sunday.

Friday 18 – Saturday 19: Intrepid Sojourner Beer Project celebrates their one-year anniversary with bottle releases, firkin tappings, and live music.

Friday 18: Satisfy your sweet tooth with a beer and cookie pairing at Banded Oak Brewing Co. From 6:00-8:00 enjoy a pairing of four Banded Oak beers with cookies from Good Sugar Banking. Note: This is a ticketed event.

Saturday 19: Vine Street Pub and Brewery starts 20180115_132222_HDRtheir ten year anniversary party at 4:20 with music on the patio and burgers & brats on the grill.

Saturday 19: Odyssey Beerworks makes it five years and at noon will kick off their anniversary bash with music, magic, special beer releases, prizes and multiple food trucks.

Saturday 19: The first of two Crawfish Boils fires up at noon at Dry Dock Brewing Co.’s South Dock (Hampden & Chambers) offering multiple combinations of crawfish, sides, and beers. Note: This is a ticketed event and advance purchase is required to insure an ample supply of seafood.

Saturday 19: If you’d prefer to consume your crawfish up north, Station 26 Brewing Co. starts their own Crawfish Boil at 1:00 and will host the Anthony Russo Band to set the appropriate bluesy mood.

two-two-two-sign.jpgSaturday 19: Once you’re stuffed with crawfish at Dry Dock, head down the road to Two22 Brew for their Patio Peach Luau where they will celebrate the release of their peach seasonal along with beer infusions all day. It goes without saying that Hawaiian attire is a must!

Saturday 19: The bus loop makes its monthly round of a batch of breweries starting at 2:00. On the list for this circuit: Strange Craft, Seedstock Brewery, Black Sky Brewery & Renegade Brewing. Five bucks lets you ride all day!

Saturday 19: If you want to spend some quality time with your pooch, head up to Bruz Beers for their Wagapalooza where you can get photos with a professional pet photographer, visit a pet psychic, win raffle prizes, and bid in a silent auction.

Sunday 20: For something a little different and a little 20170729_140955_HDRcreative, check out Living the Dream Brewery’s Succulent and Crystal Terrarium Workshop where you’ll build your own terrarium and get care instructions for keeping the plants happy in your own home.

Monday 21: Another horizon-expanding option from Living the Dream Brewery runs from 6:00-8:30 Monday and covers The Science of Fly Fishing. Space is limited and you must register in advance at Living the Dream’s website. Note: This is a ticketed event.
