Simply put, this weekend offers an embarrassment of beer-related riches! From multiple anniversary parties to a few festivals and even something for mom, there’s no reason not to get out an hoist a beer this weekend.
Wednesday 9 – Saturday 12: Head to Littleton to celebrate with 38 State Brewing Company. They’ll throw down four days of fun for their fourth anniversary, culminating in a Saturday blowout with new beer releases, music, raffles, games and more.
Saturday 12: Celebrate Colorado Plus Brew Pub’s fifth anniversary with the return of several customer-favorite beers, house-made sausage on the grill, live music, and raffles.
Saturday 12: Although in my opinion it’s rather overpriced, the Bacon and Beer Festival rolls into town on Saturday with two sessions at Sports Authority Field. For more info and tickets starting at $69 click on the link above.
Saturday 12: For some refreshing spring flavors stop by Platte Park Brewing Company for their second annual Fruit Frenzy where they will pour ten of their delicious-sounding fruit beers.
Saturday 12: A whole lotta Belgian fun rolls into River North Brewery with their Barrel Aged Extravaganza from 12:00-9:00 where they will offer up over a dozen of their barrel aged creations.
Saturday 12: Of course it’s always nice to drink for a good cause and Great Divide Brewing Company helps you do that at their Hops for Homes Craft Beer Festival from 12:00-4:00 at their Barrel Bar. With a long list of over 30 breweries and multiple food trucks everyone ought to find something to satisfy. Note: This is a ticketed event.
Saturday 12 – Sunday 13: In Five Points, Goed Zuur will celebrate their first anniversary with special tappings all weekend. Though not my style of beer I truly appreciate their dedication to being the world’s first sour-themed taproom and if that tickles your fancy you really ought to check them out!
Sunday 13: Also celebrating a first anniversary, Mother Tucker Brewery in Thornton will celebrate with food, bands, and of course plenty of beer.
Sunday 13: Have a beer-filled Mothers Day at Kokopelli Beer Company. Bring mom in early for some lunch and a few beers and then test both of your artistic skills while painting at the brewery. From 1:00-3:00 you get the materials and instruction to paint Serene Sunrise at the brewery. The experience costs $40 per person and reservations are required.
Sunday 13: It’s that time of the month again for Station 26 Brewing Co. to host their Bluegrass Brunch, which pretty much comes as advertised – beer, music, brunch food. Get there at 11:00 to secure your spot on the patio.
